the only program I can think of that is free is spybot search and destroy. I use to use it but i use norton internet security 2010

For this issue I recommend installing avast! free edition and doing a "boot time scan." A boot scan is always best as many of the system files are not being used. However, if you have a 64 bit operating system that wont work. I would then recommend using Superantispyware trial version (which is fully functional during the trial).
