how do i get rid of the trojan horse virus? i thought i had enough virus prot. adware-spyware pops up?

I have done everything from deleting files to deleting cookies to running norton antivirus. i’m totally lost, is the computer a lost cause now? I’ve got it to where we are now able to get back on line without the adware pages pop up but when i run the virus scan it still says that the trojan virus is infecting the computer. this is brand new computer, and i hope it’s not a lost cause. please help if anybody can give me any suggestions on how to fix this problem???

google AVG anti virus download that its free my computer had tons of those TRojan virus warnings AVG cleaned them right up. Devil Dogs has a good point it it took 3 days to get all the Trojans and viruses off. You will be amazed (888 in my case lol) how many the scan will find and correct

goto another computer and query the virus that you have. Then also research how to remove it. May take severals times of cleaning and/or removing. If you have paid software, call on your tech support or goto their internet (it) help desk. I contracted a nasty Trojan and cleaned my computer. I have Grisoft Avg75, and Zonelabs firewall, and Yahoo anti-spy, and Lavasoft ad-aware. Works for me,,,,,,WHEW !!!!!1

There is a simple way to come out of this problem. I suggest that, better; you adopt a system restore operation. It is safe and the problems can be rectified. You have to carefully select the date of restore. Ensure that the PC was functioning normally on the selected date for restoration. After successful repairs
Delete all temp internet files including off line content, delete all temp files . Go to add/remove progras and delete all programs that are not required. (These can be done in many ways including disc clean up option) Then defrg the PC.
If you are successful then, select a standard antivirus and an anti spy ware and install in your PC so that the problem does not occur again. Scan the PC with standard antivirus software. If you do not have one, I can give a few links that offer free virus and spy ware removers…!You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC.
