A Trojan horse, or trojan for short, is a term used to describe malware that appears, to the user, to perform a desirable function but, in fact, facilitates unauthorized access to the user’s computer system. The term comes from the Trojan Horse story in Greek mythology. Trojan horses are not self-replicating which distinguishes them from viruses and worms. Additionally, they require interaction with a hacker to fulfil their purpose. The hacker need not be the individual responsible for distributing the Trojan horse. It is possible for hackers to scan computers on a network using a port scanner in the hope of finding one with a Trojan horse installe.

All of these programs are free to use.
(Malwarebytes)

(CCleaner)

(Superantispyware)

Recommended Download (Firefox Browser)

Malwarebytes can be installed in safe mode but not Superantispyware. Download either Superantispyware or Malwarebytes. In my opinion these go hand and hand with each other because what one misses the other picks up. If you are using Internet Explorer I recommend using Mozilla Firefox because there is a less chance of malware targeting this browser, although it is still possible. If you have problems downloading or installing the malware removal tools please send an email to me and I will give you a step by step advice to fix this. Malware tends to block the download and installation of anti-virus and anti-spyware programs and websites. I recommend scanning in safe mode because a lot of times safe mode disables malware but this is not totally accurate. You can access safe mode by tapping F8 when your computer restarts, make sure to go into safe mode with networking to update the malware removal tools. I also recommend turning off system restore because users can restore their PC back to an infected state. You can do this by right clicking my computer, select properties, select system restore, and select turn off system restore.
Update and do a quick scan with Malwarebytes and a full scan with Superantispyare to get rid of any malware that is installed on your PC. I recommend doing a scan with only one of these tools at a time because there may be complications. Once the removal process is finished restart your computer and turn system restore back on. Run Ccleaner and delete temporary files and invalid registry entries. If you have any questions email me at dejay19826@yahoo.com

it might be a legitimate update
your system may need it like say Vista or XP updates depending on system or it might be the manufacturer trying to do updates like HP update…
also if windows does a download and update and it craps out during the update it can get into a endless loop of trying to get the os updated
i had an issue with updating Vista that failed to install and failed to restore and finally in the ever endless loop it KILLED my hard drive
Thank you MICROSOFT you BA$TARDS for ruining my hard drive..
but that’s still a possibility that you have other issues too
maybe not a virus but a drive issue or other things to look for

Try looking for one on your computer, if you have vista go to all programs, then look for Windows Defender, activate it, and if that doesn’t work, if you have vista Ctrl-Shft-Esc, if you have XP ctrl alt delete, then just go to proccesses, look for something with trojan, make sure it has ur name next to it, NOT SYSTEM, and then say end process, thats how i usually get past my Parental Control which i still havent fixed yet, but i do hope this works

First of all, RegCure is what is causing all of this. RegCure is a rogue program, it has done nothing but infect you. You need to uninstall it, then restart in safe mode with networking. Now, go get this:
http://malware-virus-spyware-remover-tools.blogspot.com/
When you are about to install it (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT), change the mbam-setup.exe file’s name to xxxx.exe. Then install it, update it, and run a full scan.
Also, AVG free has trouble removing even the basic infections, so you might want to look into something better.

you need to disconnect from the internet or goto safe mode and scan with malwarebyters…..double click on the icon where it says updates are ready and click download, but get rid of the virus first
