I would suggest Spybot. It’s free. http://www.safer-networking.org/ I think there is a copy you can buy thats even better.
If worse comes to worse get a norton Antivirus with spywear removly included.

Most of the free cleaners (Adaware, Spybot, etc) used to be good. However, they simply have been falling behind when it comes to detecting and cleaning.
I would suggest you purchase a product given how important computer security is. You do not want to lose data or have your financial information stolen because you took computer security too lightly.
If you want to secure a home computer, my suggestion would be to use Spysweeper. It is an effective product and runs around $40 last time I checked.
If you want to secure business computers, I would suggest you use Scrubit and Repelit from itSoftware (http://itSoftwareProducts.com ). Their spyware detection and cleaning is even better than Spysweeper’s. However, they only sell to businesses (so they are not available for home computers). Their pricing was competitive with other business badware solutions (starting around $50 for the minimum number of licenses with volume discounts).
