If i have a virus under a EXE file and delete or quarentine the virus will it delete files i need?

Quarantine it. If it’s something you need or your anti-virus program made a mistake you can restore it. If not you can delete it from quarantine later when you are sure it’s not related to anything you need. You delete it through your anti-virus program.
