We just formatted ur C drive and everything was working well.We boughht kaspersky anti virus.But today when I switched my PC on,firefox won’t open,neither will task manager or regedit.kaspersky shows something like "C:\..username\username1\winlogon.exe" and something about malicious url address.IE will work,but the home page is qseach.nothing is right,please help!

    This may be a failed installation. Assuming that Kaspersky is the problem, if you can uninstall it and reinstall. Also since you purchased it go the Kaspersky site and set up a service case with them. They do want you to have a good installation.

    It’s a fake winlogon.exe, end it’s process and delete it (although it will probably reinstall the next time you start your computer since there are likely to be more files related to it on your computer). The real winlogon.exe is in the System32 folder. I don’t know why Kaspersky doesn’t take care of it. Try scanning with Malwarebytes (free).

    You don’t tell how much time went by before you started having problems. That could be important. If you formatted and then reinstalled that should have got rid of everything. So I’m thinking you got infected again before you installed Kaspersky. Did you save your files and put them back on? You could have infected the computer that way. If on a router, you setting could have been changed by malware, and once you go online you are getting infected again.
