This is a better version to my post from before, my problem is still not fixed.

I have a windows xp operating system. I can’t give any other information as every time I go into control panel it crashes.

This is apparently a very dangerous virus.. (and not a joke as someone said in my post before) it can be used to control someones computer and bring back information to a hacker while trying to disable any anti virus by making everything crash.

I’d like to stop this as soon as possible!!!

Lets see, details:
-The computer will randomly shut down on its own giving me no option.
- spools.exe crashes nearly everything but mcafee
- even so mcafee can’t find the virus anyway (its apparently a hidden virus, I did my research)
-Safemode runs generally better then regularly running the computer, but things still crash.
- I’ve tried installing a new antivirus from a cd from a different computer. It crashed before I even installed it… =(
I’ve tried:

- System restore and last known good configuration I believe they’re infected too because the computer operates the same.
- Shutdown -a, and it does absolutely nothing….
- Safemode, read above for details.
- Internet explorer, it *opens* without crash on safemode, but I don’t get connection (yes I am on networking mode)

I have had anti virus lates but coulsd not remove it. I has slowed my PC. Help from the experts is needed

I keep seeing this file in my "Application Data" folder. My anti virus pops a warning saying its a virus ("information Stealer", and it says it ‘cleaned’ it, but it can’t delete it. If I delete in manually, it pops back up after some time. Any help would be much appreciated.

I use Windows Vista Home and my main anti-virus scanner is McAfee (latest version and updates installed.) I scanned it and it shows no threats. However, like I said, the McAfee window pops-up showing it blocked "C:\Windows\system32\DllHost.exe" buffer overflow protection.

The video file I downloaded is a AVI extension file works fine now. It came w/ text and I think that’s when it started (when I opened it.) I’m not sure if it’s a virus or not I am having trouble finding that out. My PC isn’t going slow either, to my knowledge (I have 2GB RAM) but, the warning message from McAfee scares me because it says buffer overflow can damage valuable files in my computer (if it ever happens..) and damage it.

Any help appreciated.

Yesterday, I was browsing the web and caught that "Win 7 2011 Anti-Spyware" fake anti-virus virus which prevented me from doing anything on my computer. I then installed Avast (real ant-virus program) and made it scan and delete the virus, which was a trojan. After wards, the program told me reboot my computer, so I did. Once rebooted, I soon discovered that all my exe. files would not open, when I tried, they opened up the "open with" window. I did however discover that I could run programs as administrator. But that doesn’t fix the problem. I then thought that the virus might have altered my user control settings or something, but the problem is, without being able to run my .exe files, I can’t open up the "Change User Account Control Settings" to fix this. I even put it on my main screen but it won’t allow me to open it. Does anyone know how I can fix this .exe problem without doing a system recovery with a back up disk (haven’t made a backup in about a month and I have a lot of important files)? Please help!
By the way, my computer is windows 7.

I get a windows error after I installed NOD32 :

After some time – maybe hours of work …. I get a message:

ekrn.exe has generated errors & will be closed by Windows

This message is not soooo bad

BUT what it does it freezes my windows & I need to do restart
and this fact is NOT good….

I did a google search & to my surprise I DIDNT find it…

I used some good spy programs & it seems I am clean !!!

Maybe there is a FIX to download?

somehow the NOD32 Anti virus collides with something
maybe its Explorer ?

For some reason I’m having a hard time finding the source to completely get rid of the "Trojan.Pidief.D" Trojan Virus. My anti-virus program finds it and deletes it, but then it comes back up again. Any suggestions?

Onto a website. That is not the websites creator, and whenever someone uploads the particular page, they would catch the program.. And is there a way to prevent from catching this, or to get rid of one, without reformatting, and please no answers with use this anti virus program, we all know they don’t compensate for all virus’s.

i have this spyware i think, because all my anti virus stuff are down. Everytime i try to fix them the program instantly closes. When i try to download anti virus programs and anti spyware removal programs, it instantly blocks me from entering those websites. So basically, its closing every option i have of removing it. my laptop has a spy ware called anti virus action, it doesn’t let me open the internet, so i cant download a malware or anything off the net and i tried installing it by putting it on my usb from another computer. I’ve been trying for days get rid of this virus to no avail. It’s really starting to get to me because not only will it not let me open the internet but it is also blocking all my programs like iTunes wont open and a popup comes up asking what program I want to use. Any help at all is much appreciated and I’ve checked out almost all the websites about it and nothing is working, so if you could take me through step by step that would be great.

I just recently downloaded the free version of Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2011 and did a scan

The system detected a virus in C:\windows\dnokua.exe

The virus was HEUR:Trojan.win32.Generic and i tried to get rid of it but Kaspersky failed to move it to quarantine.

Does anyone know how to get rid of this virus? because it has been troubling my laptop for a few days now.
